Note: Another cool PNG overlay for the menubar, use GeekTool to install.

If you don’t know how to use this you will need to download “GeetTool 3″ (http://projects.tynsoe.org/en/geektool/). It basically works with an illusion; there are two images, the wax-seal which is always-on-top which is always overlaid on the menu logo. Then there is the exact same logo, but it always behind, this has a tail/ribbon, which is then only visible on the desktop so as to not get in the way when windows take up the screen.
Not sure how this would conflict in Lion with Full screen apps, but hopefully they *always* take precedence because that would be really annoying after a while.
A nice alternative to this might be “Classic Menu” (http://www.sigsoftware.com/classicmenu/) which replaces the menu with one of the former incarnations (I use the multicoloured stripy one).
