This tutorial will teach you how to change your Menubar icons.
Default menubar icons
Iconpaper recommends Clean Menubar icons available here.
1. Navigate to :
/system/library/coreservices/menu extras
Now, back up any of the files which you are going to replace (just in case).
To edit one of them, right click on it, show package contents.
2. Open contents then resources and, replace the files.
The image files are stored as .pdf, which you can edit in programs such as pixelmator or photoshop.
There are already some pre-made menubar icon replacements on iconpaper, such as this one.
3. Log out and log back in after making any changes.

Pour moi ça ne fonctionne pas… Je suis sur Snow Léopard… Lorsque je fais la modif du pdf dans le dossier (modif faite via photoshop). Si je redémarre, ça ne change rien.
J’ai testé la modification de l’icone lorsque un périphétique bluetooth est connecté et ça ne change pas dans la barre des menus. Si je retourne voir dans le dossier. Le PDF modifié est toujours le bon.
Snow Léopard stockerait ça ailleurs pour démarrer plus vite ou quelque chose dans le genre?
I can’t find the Core Services folder! Any help?
